We are proud to share the successful completion and delivery of a steel structure bridge project exported to Tanzania, East Africa. Project Background

Our client in Tanzania required a reliable and durable bridge structure to span a local waterway, supporting both pedestrian and light vehicle traffic. After evaluating multiple suppliers, they chose us based on our competitive pricing, proven fabrication quality, and ability to handle the full export process — from production to port delivery (DAP Dar es Salaam).

Structural Design & Materials

The bridge was designed using H-beam steel (H-section / wide flange beams) as the primary structural members, chosen for their excellent load-bearing capacity, structural stability, and ease of on-site assembly.

Key specifications:

• Main girders: H-beam steel, Q355B grade
• Surface treatment: Shot blasting to Sa2.5 standard + two-coat epoxy anti-corrosion paint, suitable for tropical humid climate
• Connection method: High-strength bolt connections for easy field assembly
• Total steel weight: Approx. 45 metric tons
• Bridge span: 32 meters
• Design load: Compliant with client-specified local standards

Fabrication & Quality Control

All structural components were fabricated at our facility under strict quality management procedures:

• Raw material mill certificates verified upon receipt
• Dimensional tolerance checked against approved shop drawings
• Welding carried out by certified welders with full weld inspection (visual + UT testing)
• Anti-corrosion coating thickness checked and documented
• Final dimensional inspection report issued before shipment

Packing & Export

Given the long ocean voyage and tropical destination, all steel members were carefully packed to prevent corrosion and transit damage:

• Steel members bundled and secured with steel strapping
• Bolt sets and connection plates boxed separately with desiccant
• Full packing list, shipping marks, and weight/dimension documentation prepared for customs clearance
• Shipped via FCL (Full Container Load) from China to Dar es Salaam Port, Tanzania

On-Site Assembly Support

We provided our client with detailed assembly drawings and installation instructions to support smooth on-site erection. Our technical team was available via remote support throughout the installation phase, ensuring the structure was assembled correctly and safely.

Project Outcome

The bridge was successfully installed and put into use, receiving positive feedback from the client regarding both the quality of fabrication and the accuracy of our shop drawings.
